How I stay committed to learning
I have always been interested in learning new things. I even taught
Freshman English for a few years at the University of North Carolina
at Charlotte. I have also worked as a corporate trainer.
I have always enjoyed the process of going from ignorant to
knowledgeable, and web development is no different. I love discovering
new technologies and seeing how they work. I also love the process of
turning a bare-bones HTML document into a dynamically styled and
interactive page.
How I got started
I made my first website in high school and didn't work with them much
again until I studied to be a Technical Writer. My career as a
technical writer also involved learning DITA XML, which is
syntactically similar to basic HTML.
I started off with a basic web tutorial from MDN. The process reminded
me of making my first web site and how much I enjoyed it. After that,
I worked on the modules available on freeCodeCamp and Codecademy, and
then moved on to the Front-End path on Scrimba.
